Educational Excellence
Created a coaching model focused on continuously improving teaching that met the needs of diverse learners leading to four years of academic gains in both ELA and math
– 100% of cohort 1 students met or exceeded grade-level expectations on Reading PARCC/NJSLA assessments administered at the conclusion of the 2019 school year – a 27% increase within four years
– 83% of cohort 1 students met or exceeded grade-level expectations on Math PARCC/NJSLA assessments administered at the conclusion of the 2019 school year – a 46% increase within four years
Ensured the instructional programs engaged students in learning experiences that facilitated mastery of the Common Core State Standards
– Saw gains of 8% in Math and 5% in reading on State Assessment within the first year of leading a school
Drove the implementation of interdisciplinary learning and accelerating academics for students below grade levels in reading and math
– Average gains of 1.5 grade levels in the first year with over 60% of students gaining more than one grade level on national reading and math assessment; More than 60% of students on track to proficiency in reading based on benchmark assessment – a gain of over 20% over the previous school year
